If there is one aspect of your business that gives you immediate returns, it has to be the time saved by automating manual tasks as much as possible.

It applies to any type of business, whether online or physical as the time you can effectively focus and spend on building your revenue and profits has a direct impact on the health of your business.

Automating the scheduling of one-to-one meetings with your clients and prospective customers can be a huge part of this process of saving time.

As meetings are an integral part of running any business seamlessly, scheduling them without your frequent intervention will free up a lot of your useful time that you can spend on more important things.

There are a ton of options in this space if you are looking for a SaaS tool with the likes of Calendly and Acquity Scheduling being the market leaders.

CatchApp Booking is a relatively newer tool that promises a wealth of features at affordable pricing. Is it any good when compared to the segment leaders? Well, let us find out in this review.

Dashboard, User Interface & Features

Once you finish signing up for the tool, the first thing to do is to connect your personal calendar to activate 2-way syncing. CatchApp supports Google, Microsoft, and Apple calendars, so you are well covered in this regard.

CatchApp Booking - Connecting Calendar

The next step is you connect the app of your choice for video calls. Zoom, Teams, and Google Meet are supported.

CatchApp Bookings - Calendar

Remember you can connect the calendar and video call app even at a later stage. Once you finish the above two steps, you are welcomed to the main dashboard which is pretty clean and easy to navigate.

Once the onboarding is completed, the next thing to do is to set up your event type. There are multiple options while setting up an event and we will see each in detail.

CatchApp Bookings - Event Name & Location

The first step is to give a name to the appointment so that it is easy for your prospects to have an idea of what it is about. Next, you have to set up the location of the appointment. The following options are available to choose from,

  • Zoom,
  • Microsoft Teams,
  • Google Meet,
  • Skype,
  • Phone call,
  • Face to Face,
  • Custom Location.

If you select the custom location, there is a separate box where you can enter the details of the location.

Next up, you have to choose the duration of the meeting. Although the available options are 15, 30, 45, 60, and 120 minutes, you can also enter a custom number of minutes if you would like to.

You can then select the default time zone or change the time zone if needed. This can be useful if you know the location of most of your target audience.

The next step is to define your availability on different days of the week and the hours you are available to book the appointment.

It is also possible to add buffer times between meetings, either before or after the meeting. In addition, there is also a scheduling buffer that doesn't lets anyone book an appointment until a set time from the current time.

If you want to accept payments for your appointments, you can do it by collecting your Stripe account. However, having more options in addition to Stripe would have been good, PayPal in particular.

Finally, you can mention if you want any additional questions to be answered before booking the appointment. These questions can be made mandatory so that you will have the maximum amount of information before the meeting.

Then, you can set how many days of your availability are visible to the prospect. Once all the setup is done, you can have a look at the appointment booking page to see if everything looks fine or if some editing has to be done.

CatchApp Bookings - Meeting Page

It is possible to view all the appointments that are upcoming for you by clicking on the "My Bookings" tab in the main dashboard.

Overall the user interface is neat and easy to navigate with all the essential features covered for an effective appointment booking system.

When it comes to integrations, apart from the above mentioned for calendars and video calls, direct integration is available with Salesforce, Zendesk, Salesflare, and Monday for project management.

Pricing

There is only one paid plan available that costs $20 per user per month or $10 per user per month when paid annually.

There is no free plan available, although you can get a 14-day free trial of the paid plan to try out the tool before committing to purchase.

Support

Live chat support is available both in the app dashboard and on the website. Although there is a good level of text documentation covering all the features, it would be nice to see some video tutorials as well.

Conclusion

To wrap up, CatchApp is quite a well rounded tool having all the essential features if you are looking for an appointment booking tool for your business.

Yes, it might not be comparable as such to market leaders like Calendly in its current stage, but all the fundamental features are covered and if the team continues to keep developing, there is no reason that it could be as good as Calendly or Acquity.
